'Fingle' is a bold and theatrical botanical design, created to make a statement. The most expressive design of the collection, its large scale represents the awe Victoria feels when experiencing the mystical, timeless atmosphere of the verdant woodlands of Dartmoor. Three sweeping lace stripes frame an exuberant central bloom, entwined with curling ivy, dramatic ferns, decorative flowers and cascading garlands, all set against a softly painted wash background. The ivy appears in layers of transparency, from barely-there tracery to more prominent forms, weaving above and below the lace stripes and across the canvas to create real depth and a uniquely dimensional effect.
